Our November Hot Talks will welcome an open conversation about The Human Trafficking Highway.
FACT: Ohio ranks fourth in human trafficking calls to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. That's according to Governor John Kasich's 2017 tax force report that released earlier in 2017.
Human trafficking is today's slavery. It happens around the country, around the globe and right here in our community. It can't be ignored, but what can we do to educate ourselves and help victims?
Meet us at the Bar for an engaging conversation about this critical issue. Diane Citrino of Giffen & Kaminski will moderate the discussion with:
- Theresa Flores – author, advocate and founder of S.O.A.P. (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution)
- Kirsti Mouncey, LISW-S, LCDC III – Chief Program Officer, Cleveland Rape Crisis Center
After brief, introductory remarks, the conversation will be open to all for an interactive question and answer period. Bring your questions, your views, your criticisms - whatever you've got - and come meet us at the bar for Hot Talks.
