About Our Presenters:
John Dunn has 35 years experience working with foreign counsel on nearly a daily basis on M&A deals, foreign direct investment and business establishment, financing, corruption and other investigations, intellectual property enforcement and other commercial matters. He has had on the groundwork experience in 40 plus countries and dealings with foreign counsel in dozens of others.
John was an international M&A/corporate governance partner at Jones Day where his clients were mainly non-US based businesses and political entities for which he provided services on a global basis. He was lead on hundreds of M&A, JV and other strategic deals throughout the world ranging in value from $5M to $200B. In his corporate governance role he regularly oversaw politically sensitive investigations covering corruption allegations and other delicate matters such as a 65-country investigation into allegations that a major pharmaceutical company had improperly harvested organs to produce HGH and other products.
John retired from Jones Day in 2014 and now works as sell side M&A advisor (non legal) for privately owned businesses and a consultant to professional service firms and other businesses looking to improve their global footprint. He also serves as director of family owned businesses.
Robert A. Ross is the Chair of Benesch's International M&A Group and Vice Chair of Benesch’s Private Equity Group. He provides counsel to public and private companies involved in complex acquisitions, mergers and divestitures throughout the United States and worldwide. Bob has led multiple, complex domestic and international acquisitions for several, high profile manufacturing clients as well as serving as outside counsel for a series of complex refinancings of a privately held manufacturer based in Ohio.
