Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Endorses Issue 7 

CLEVELAND – April 29, 2014 – The Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) recently voted to endorse Issue 7. Issue 7 is the continuation of the tax on alcohol and cigarettes which generates important revenues to maintain our sporting event venues. Our professional sports teams and venues sustains thousands of jobs and generate vital revenue for restaurants and other downtown Cleveland businesses. Issue 7 will be on the ballot on May 6, 2014.  The CMBA encourages all to vote in favor of Issue 7.

"We are proud to support  this important issue for Cleveland’s future," said Jonathan Leiken, president of the CMBA. "Northeast Ohio is at a critical point in our revitalization efforts. We have so many great things happening in Cleveland. We must continue to support our publicly owned sporting venues and professional sports teams to ensure a vibrant downtown where people and businesses will  thrive for many years to come.”
