Tort/Negligence Law

Tort/Negligence law refers to remedies in which one can be compensated for intentional or unintentional behavior leading to the injury of one’s person or property. These actions are greatly dependent on one’s ability to prove cause of action, damages, and liability. Please consult an attorney for the appropriate advisement and representation. Tort/Negligence claims are time sensitive and governed by a statute of limitation, which should only be explained by an attorney.

If you feel that you have been injured in some way, please consult an attorney immediately for a consultation.

If you are seeking representation for a claim against a government (local, state, federal) please refer to administrative law or civil rights law.

The following list represents the subject matter panels established by the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) for Tort/Negligence Law. Some subject matter panels may not have lawyers participating under them. In this case, LRS has not found successful attorney applicants who qualify for a particular subject matter. LRS is not permitted to add attorneys who do not meet LRS standards. LRS will still maintain these panels in the event attorneys who do qualify for the subject matter will be available to represent members of the public in the future.

All of the subject matter panels listed in the area of Tort/Negligence Law are preceded by the designation TN. The areas are listed below and are located in a drop down box on the “Get a Referral” form.
