The Future State of Justice
Cuyahoga County Justice Center - CMBA Involvement
Since 2019, The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association has been the voice of attorneys and their clients as Cuyahoga County moves forward with plans to build a new Justice Center in Cleveland. A Steering Committee comprised of 12 public officials is currently considering a plan that would leave the Justice Center downtown, but would move the Cuyahoga County Jail to another site away from downtown.
Because of the vital importance of justice reform to Cuyahoga County, The CMBA is committed to being a part of these critical discussions. While we were not successful in attempts to get a seat on the Justice Center Steering Committee, we have since hosted public events, issued public statements, and used the power of our members to have a voice with the committee.
This page is dedicated to the very latest information about Cuyahoga County's Justice Center, including schedules of upcoming public meetings, media coverage and all new developments.
