We are very excited to launch our 2021 Stokes Scholars summer internship program this week. The award-winning diversity pipeline program is designed for college students interested in pursuing careers in law. This summer’s program will combine in-person and remote experiences, including attendance at the CMBA’s Annual Meeting at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on July 13.
Our 7 Scholars will participate in paid internship experiences and a range of group enrichment programs over the next 8 weeks in the courts, at law firms and at the CMBA. This year’s Scholars attend Cleveland State University, Cuyahoga Community College, Muskingum University, Vanderbilt University and Xavier University.
We are grateful for our internship site hosts and the mentors who will be engaged with our Scholars: Tucker Ellis LLP, Zashin & Rich, 8th District Court of Appeals, Court of Common Pleas of Cuyahoga County and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.
Once again this year, Brandon Brown of Calfee Halter & Griswold, a Stokes Scholar Alumni, is chairing the Stokes Scholars Committee.
This program is made possible through the generous support of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation and its Fellows, donors, special event sponsors, and the law firms hosting Scholars.
