Silvia began her public service career at Probate Court in 2000 as Deputy Clerk in the microfilm department. During the past 20 years, Silvia has provided dedicated service and positive leadership in many areas of the court. She has worked in several departments over the years, including Marriage and Date Entry. Her department manages the flow of all fiduciary appointments and certified records in every estate, guardian, and trust case, which total more than 12,000 cases each year.
Silvia has always used her talents beyond her job duties. Long before the Ohio Supreme Court established the Language Services Program, she willingly provided interpreter assistance to those in need.
Silvia was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Cleveland with her family when she was two years old. She has been married to her husband Ariel since 2001 and is the mother of three children and six grandchildren ranging in ages from 5 to 13. Her greatest joys are spending time with her family. She especially loves taking her grandchildren to the pool and movies.
