Thomas P. Arnaut

Director of Information Systems

Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas

Tom Arnaut was born in Youngstown, Ohio where he attended Boardman High School and Youngstown State University. Tom has always had an interest in electronics and knew his career would somehow be related.

Tom began his journey in Public Service in 1997 when Cuyahoga County was beginning a large project to upgrade their computer network. The project sounded interesting, so he signed on as the Manager of Network Engineering for Cuyahoga County Information Services Center. Since 2000, Tom has served as the Director of Information Systems for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He has led the way through the implementation and conversion of the Court’s computerized case management system and ensures that enhancements and upgrades continue to keep the Court productive and responsive to today’s standards of reporting and document management. Most recently, Tom’s leadership through technology upgrades during the COVID-19 pandemic was crucial in keeping the court operational.

Tom tells us that if someone were to write a biography about him, the title would be “What You Lack in Brilliance, Make Up for in Persistence.” Nominator, Judge Sheehan says that Tom lends a calm and steady approach to problem solving, producing expert results for those problems.

Tom has been married to his wonderful wife Linda for 34 years. Together, they have raised their beautiful daughter Jenna.
