Meet Thought Leaders in Law, Politics, STEM, Sports and Entertainment
CLEVELAND - February 19, 2020 - Hundreds of people will attend the 2020 Cleveland International Women’s Day Summit on Thursday, March 5th at the Cleveland Metropolitan Conference Center. When the day is over, they will leave inspired and motivated to continue the pursuit of equality.
International Women’s Day is a global day acknowledging the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, while also serving as a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This collaborative Cleveland Summit is presented by The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, The Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and Case Western Reserve School of Law. This Summit will give women and men the opportunity to learn from and celebrate women of great achievement.
The Summit begins with the Ignite Keynote on Thursday morning by USA Today and ESPN columnist Christine Brennan. As a sports journalist, Christine attained many “firsts” as a woman in her field.
The 2020 International Women’s Day Summit is proud to host the American Bar Association’s traveling exhibit commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment guaranteeing women’s constitutional right to vote. National ABA President Judy Perry Martinez will be with us for The Summit.
NOTE: The 100th Anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment exhibit will be open to the public all day Friday, March 26th.
“We are thrilled by the enthusiasm for this year’s International Women’s Day Summit,” said CMBA CEO Becky Ruppert McMahon. “This is a pivotal time for women around the world and we’re proud to have world-class leaders to inspire us right here in Cleveland.”
