Building Connections with the Nonprofit Community

We provide important education on legal topics for nonprofit leaders, as well as training for attorneys looking to serve and advise those nonprofits that are making a difference in our community. Through a partnership with the Association of Corporate Counsel, Northeast Ohio and the Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter, Reach Out coordinates quarterly seminars and brief advice clinics free to the public, with free CLE credit for volunteers.

Educational Seminars

Reach Out presents a series of free educational seminars that provide nonprofit leaders with important, current information about legal issues their organizations face every day. Following the seminar, nonprofits have the chance to sit down one-on-one with volunteer attorneys for a brief advice and counseling session. If further legal help is required, Reach Out may be able to refer the matter to a volunteer or law firm.

Nonprofits can now register for the August 25 seminar ("Employment Law for Nonprofits: How to Reduce Risk and Improve Compliance" in partnership with the VLA) - CLICK HERE!
This presentation will focus on compliance with some of the greatest employment-related risks to nonprofit organizations: worker classification, wage and hour, and accommodating employee medical issues, including family and medical leave.
