Diversity & Inclusion Committee

A core value of the CMBA is its commitment to promote diversity and inclusion within the legal profession, justice system and the wider community. This Committee provides oversight of the CMBA's diversity and inclusion initiatives including study, surveys, best practice program research, goal setting and evaluation; diversity pipeline programs connecting students from high school through law school into the profession; convening conferences and forums; developing minority Career Fairs; and bestowing recognition and awards for outstanding effort and programs.

Current diversity pipeline programs include The 3Rs and Stephanie Tubbs Jones Summer Legal Academy for high school students, Louis Stokes Scholars Program for college students and Minority Clerkship Program for law students.

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee works collaboratively with the CMBA's Women in the Law Section and LGBT and Allies Committee.
