The purpose of this Section shall be to promote study and research in the field of criminal law, to disseminate by lecture, seminars and publications the knowledge of skilled practitioners and experts in the area of criminal law, to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas among prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, members of the judiciary, and other interested persons regarding criminal practice, to adopt positions on issues of public concern in the field of criminal law and to promote the proper administration of criminal justice by making recommendations to relevant authorities concerning alterations, innovations and improvements.
The section holds periodic lunch meetings including 1.0 hours of CLE and produces frequent CLE programs throughout the year.
