Re-imagining the UCC - CANCELLED

This course has been cancelled. Please contact the CMBA with any questions.

Presenter:
Robert M. LeVine, JD

Reimagining the UCC in Your Practice is an intense, fast paced educational experience which covers a very large amount of the text of the Uniform Commercial Code. In addition to covering the substantive meaning of the text of the Code, attendees are presented numerous ways to line up statutory provisions via fundamental UCC policies, and legislative mandates to the courts regarding those policies. The goal is to present a solid understanding of the text of the Uniform Commercial Code; how to approach UCC problems in general; as well as the ability to create effective strategies for drafting and litigation. Seminar materials include a power point presentation with over 400 slides, and a copy of The Uniform Commercial Code Made Easy, www.ucc-madeeasy.com.

The UCC governs billions of commercial transactions each day in the United States. There are 29.4 million small businesses alone whose daily operations involve the UCC. Often, these businesses are vulnerable in ways that have not even occurred to them by reason of various provisions of the Code. An attorney with a solid working knowledge of the UCC creates a powerful platform to attract new business and better serve existing clients. This seminar will empower attendees to reach such a level of knowledge of the UCC.
