The third in a series of civics education programs, the CMBA will host its next Citizens Legal Academy titled "Understanding Your Rights: Immigration Law in America" on Saturday, February 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. at La Sagrada Familia Church in Cleveland.
Participating in the presentation and discussion of current laws and regulations and how they impact immigration status will be:
- Bridget Brennan, Director of Human Rights, U.S. Attorney's Office
- Sala Gembala, Immigrati onAttorney, Catholic Diocese of Cleveland
- Megan Sprecher, Senior Attorney, The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland
Following the presentation, the CMBA has partnered with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland to offer a Brief Advice Clinic focused on immigration issues.
Presentation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Brief advice clinic: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m
