Celebration for New Lawyers
On Monday, Nov. 15, the CMBA hosted its semi-annual "Celebration for New Lawyers" on from 5-7 p.m. to honor those who successfully passed the Ohio Bar Examination taken in July and welcome them to the profession. The reception welcomed more than 100 people, including 13 judges and magistrates 58 newly admitted attorneys.
The evening included remarks by several leaders in the legal community as well as ample opportunity for conversation and networking between these new lawyers, members of the judiciary and others in our legal community. Remarks were made by CMBA President Michael Ungar; Judge Dan Poster of the United States District Court; Colleen Cotter, executive director of The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland; Ronald V. Johnson, president of the Norman S. Minor Bar Association; Deborah Yue, board member of the Asian American Bar Association; Kevin Dunn, chair of the CMBA's Young Lawyers Section; and Mary Groth, director of development and community programs at the CMBA.
