To recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations that are positively contributing to the creation of a culture of inclusiveness within the Cleveland metropolitan area and beyond, the CMBA Diversity Circle is accepting nominations for the first-ever Diversity & Inclusion Awards. During the 5th Annual Diversity & Inclusion Conference on March 13, 2012 at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, the Diversity Circle will be presenting three distinct Diversity & Inclusion Awards. The deadline for nominations is February 27, 2012.
Awards will be made in the following categories:
(1) The Diversity & Inclusion Pioneer Award will be given to an individual attorney, although he/she need not be actively practicing law, who has been a pioneer and/or champion in the field of diversity and inclusion within the legal profession;
(2) The Diversity & Inclusion Trailblazer Award will be given to a law firm or corporate legal department (whether for-profit or not-for-profit) that has demonstrated success in building a genuine culture of inclusion with its workforce, clients and/or the Greater Cleveland community at large; and
(3) The Diversity & Inclusion Pacesetter Award will be given to a business or organization, other than a law firm or corporate legal department, which has demonstrated success in creating and/or contributing to the creation of a genuine culture of inclusion within the greater Cleveland workforce and/or community.
