Certified Grievance Committee

The Certified Grievance Committee, which is made up of volunteer lawyers and lay members, conducts confidential investigations of allegations of ethical misconduct by lawyers and files complaints with the Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline of the Ohio Supreme Court in cases where disciplinary action is warranted. The Committee meets twice a month at the Association.

Committee meetings are not open to the general membership of the Association.

Membership on the Committee is generally evaluated in the late spring of each year for the upcoming Association fiscal year beginning July 1. To be appointed, applicants must submit an application, participate in a short interview, be approved by the Committee Chairperson and the Board of Trustees, and participate in a Committee training session.
