The Diversity Circle (formerly known as the Diversity Action Committee) oversees the Bar Association’s award-winning diversity and inclusion initiatives, serves as the 'think tank' to research other ‘best practice’ initiatives, and researches the need for unique initiatives to meet specific needs in the region. The Diversity Circle is composed of member attorneys and others who are identified stakeholders in the diversification of the local legal community.
The Diversity Circle works to plan, secure sponsorship and help administer these programs throughout the year: Louis Stokes Scholars, Minority Clerkship, Minority Judicial Externship, and Stephanie Tubbs Jones Summer Legal Academy.
Furthermore, it spearheads the Diversity and Inclusion Conference of the CMBA held each spring.
