Plans are set for Rock the Foundation V, the fifth annual special event to benefit the pro bono and public service programs of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation (CMBF). Rock the Foundation is our largest fundraising event and - with your help - raises the majority of the money needed for our many terrific community programs, including the award-winning 3Rs. This year's casual and fun “must attend” Saturday evening will be the House of Blues and includes great music by Cleveland's own Stone Pony Band, dancing, fabulous food, open bar and silent auction. The event is open to the public and people can get involved a variety of ways.

This year’s silent auction features more than 50 fantastic items, including an exclusive House of Blues “Ultimate Show Package” featuring a catered party for 30; Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum Duet Rocker membership package; spa packages including a year’s worth of botox and other cosmetic enhancement treatments; weekend stays in exciting locales; gourmet dining certificates; roundtrip airfare tickets; a Bus Stop Kids guest spot on WKYC-Channel 3; theater seats; packages for all sports fans, including tickets to the Cavs, Indians, Browns, and Blue Jackets; paintings by local artist Hector Vega; and many more exciting items!
Programs funded by the CMBF include The 3Rs - Rights ● Responsibilities ● Realities , a model public service program that sends more than 500 volunteer lawyers, judges and law students into the classrooms of the Cleveland and East Cleveland public high schools to teach a curriculum focused on the U.S. Constitution and practical career counseling. The 3Rs, currently in its fourth year, reaches 4,000 students annually. Other programs funded by the CMBF include the Pro Bono Bankruptcy Project, Cleveland Homeless Legal Assistance Program, High School Mock Trial Competitions, and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
